Privacy
SG Playgrounds does not require an account to browse. This page describes the data this app currently handles.
Browsing and saved places
Saved playgrounds are kept in your browser’s local storage on that device. You can remove a saved place with its Save button or clear this site’s browser storage. “Near me” uses browser location permission to sort places on your device; the app does not submit your coordinates to its server. If you open the map centered on your location, your browser requests map tiles from OpenFreeMap for that approximate area.
Reviews and corrections
A review includes the nickname and visit note you enter, plus optional recommendation, child age band and visit month. It waits for moderation. If approved, the nickname, note, recommendation and visit month can appear publicly on the playground profile; the age band is used for review context but is not displayed. A correction includes your report and an optional contact email. Corrections and contact emails are for moderation and are not published.
Birthday enquiries
Only venues marked as participating can accept an enquiry form. The form asks for an adult name and email, with optional age band, event date, group size and budget. It does not ask for a child’s name or birthdate. Your consent is required before submission. When delivery is enabled, the request is sent to the delivery service for that participating venue; otherwise it is stored locally and the confirmation says it was not sent. Sending a request is not a booking.
Basic events and protection
The app stores the playground, event type and time for actions such as opening a profile, saving, requesting directions or visiting an official link. Event records do not include your name, email or browser location. Short-term rate limiting uses a keyed hash of the request IP address; the raw address is not stored in the rate-limit table. Hosting infrastructure may keep request logs separately.
Storage and requests
Submissions and event records are held in the site database until an operator reviews or deletes them; no automatic retention deadline is configured yet. A public contact address for privacy requests is being set up.
